ARCHBALD, Pa. — Veterans were honored in Lackawanna County with the gift of song.
The American Legion in Carbondale sponsored a bus trip where volunteers visited several American legions, singing Christmas carols and showing signs of support for veterans.
"This time of year is very sensitive, especially for veterans. Some people are alone, and they aren't feeling the spirit. So we thought we'd collaborate, bring all of us together, and bring a little spirit of Christmas back to their lives and bring smiles on their faces, comradery, and just spread joy," said Michelle Poyer, Auxillary Post Unit 221 Secretary and Historian.
This was one of five stops for these carolers in Lackawanna County.
