CARBONDALE, Pa. — A man from Lackawanna County will spend time in prison for abusing a child.
Kassius Grant, 20, of Carbondale, was sentenced to 62 to 130 months in prison and nine years of probation.
He pleaded guilty in August to charges of aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say in March of this year, Grant was smoking marijuana when he pushed an 18-month-old child, causing the baby to hit his face on a crib. The child suffered extensive facial injuries, several fractures, and two collapsed lungs. Police found him hiding in a friend's closet.
