SCRANTON, Pa. — You might have heard of Christmas in July, but how about Halloween in May?
Children and parents participated in a Boo Bash event at Weston Field in Scranton.
Kids got to dress up in costumes and get some candy. They also enjoyed snacks and drinks and got to meet police officers and firefighters.
Organizers also held a basket raffle the proceeds will go to a local family in need.
"The girl we helped last year was Abby, and she was going for heart surgery, so we were able to help mom offset some of her medical bills," said Janiece Montes, event coordinator.
This was the 3rd annual Boo Bash event in Scranton.
