CARBONDALE, Pa. — In Carbondale, many came together for a benefit held for Bubba Thomas, otherwise known as the 'Champ of Carbondale' at AJ's Bar and Grill on Dundaff Street.
Bubba had a stroke in July and has spent most of his time since then in the ICU. Now he's recovering in a rehab facility, and his friends and neighbors are coming together to support him.
All the proceeds from Saturday's event and his online fundraisers will go toward his medical costs in Lackawanna County.
