SCRANTON — Community Bank N.A. plans to buy 8 Bank of America branches in our area.
Community Bank N.A. is the parent company of First Liberty Bank.
If this purchase goes through, the company will acquire five branches in Luzerne County, two in Carbon County and one in Lackawanna County.
This deal would make Community Bank N.A. the second largest bank in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area.
The company plans to close the deal by the end of this year.
