SOUTH ABINGTON TOWNSHIP -- The Abington Heights School District and teachers have a new contract.
District officials said the board voted unanimously Wednesday night to approve the new contract.
Teachers approved the contract Thursday.
The teachers were set to strike on September 11, but cancelled those plans.
Teachers had been working without a contract since 2011.
The new deal calls for $500 to $600 raises each year of the three year contract.
