SCRANTON, Pa. — Operation Homefront hosted the event at the Scranton Armed Forces Reserve Center.
There were also tables set up where service members could pick up small gifts as well as personal hygiene items.
Those who came out say events like these are a big help, especially during the holiday season.
"It'll make a big difference and help getting gifts for the little one, and honestly, it's just a big help. Because actually in times like this, because we're still young, and it helps a lot," said David Ramos, National Guard.
Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit that provides financial assistance and other programs to service members and veterans.
