DUNMORE, Pa. — Summer is just around the corner, and Sherwood Park is kicking it off with its 13th annual Carnival at Sherwood Park in Dunmore.
Every year the carnival aims to have new rides added to the fun, and this year's carnival is no different.
"We should have some new attractions. We do have a little bit more space in the back for our carnival vendor to come in and possibly put up some new rides," said Charles Ehnot, president of the Sherwood Youth Association.
You can try all the new rides with a $20 wristband special. All the proceeds from the carnival go towards the Sherwood Park Youth Association.
Last year, the park used some of the proceeds to add a water umbrella to the splash pad for kids to enjoy all summer.
Besides the rides, kids and families can also enjoy some tasty carnival foods.
"It's just a great way to get the community together in a safe environment for all the kids and enjoy ourselves," Ehnot said.
Carnival at Sherwood Park, Wednesday, May 8 to Saturday, May 11, open nightly 6 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. and Saturday 3 p.m. – 9:45 p.m.
$20 wristband special on Wednesday and Thursday, 6 p.m. – close, and Saturday, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
