SCRANTON, Pa. — A man from Lackawanna County was honored with two basketball games for a cause on Saturday.
Cody Barrasse was killed after being hit by a car in 2013. His memorial foundation has been holding the annual basketball tournament at Scranton Prep for more than a decade now.
The money raised goes towards scholarship programs at Scranton Prep.
"It's just fun to come out and play and put on for the scholarship, I got the scholarship for prep, so it's fun to come and play and show guys what I got, and have fun, it's all about having fun," said Carter Mccloe of Scranton.
Another event is taking place this evening at the Scranton Cultural Center. "Continue Cody's commitment" will raise money for organ donor awareness.
