Walking in a winter wonderland at this year's Winterfest

Stay warm inside the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds' cafe area while enjoying vendors and live entertainment all weekend long.

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — The Bloomsburg Fairgrounds is transforming into a winter wonderland for their annual Winterfest this weekend.

On November 24 and 25, the fair buildings will host nearly 200 vendors selling Christmas gifts, holiday foods, and entertainment all weekend.

From the Parade of Lights to the 5K, it makes any scene from a Christmas Hallmark movie come to life while supporting local businesses.

"We have the parade of lights at 6 p.m. on Friday. Saturday, we have the FA LA LA 5K at 9 a.m. And we have our special guest Santa coming on Friday with the parade of lights," said Ben Stolz, marketing manager for the Bloomsburg Fair Association.

More than 200 vendors will set up shop throughout the fairgrounds.

"You have different types of crafts, homemade items, wineries, distilleries, breweries. 15 food vendors will be outside, and we have a coffee shop inside," Misty Chapman said.

Anglea Speaks with Old School Coffee is one of those vendors. She's ready to be part of a beloved holiday tradition.

"This is a big event, and it brings together this community and all communities to celebrate tradition, faith, family and friends, and coming home or the holidays," Speaks said.

While people are looking for deals this weekend, organizers hope they bring their shopping lists to find something local.

"Friday is always a hit. The box stores get the deals. How about this year, let's support local and help those people out that are in your community trying to start a business or have an established business?” Chapman said.
