BLOOMSBURG -- Long lines are normal at Vince's Cheesesteaks, especially during lunchtime. It is one of the busiest stands at the Bloomsburg Fair.
"We've been coming here since we were 11 years old, eating Vince's Cheesesteaks," said Santina Sacavage.
Owner Vince Cocca and his team of more than 30 people have perfected the art of making a cheesesteak.
"We have people in the back that cook steak. We have people in the center, and four steak makers and counter help," said Cocca.
Newswatch 16's Nikki Krize decided to join the team and give it a try. First up, employee Bonnie Shoemaker showed her how to take an order.
"And then we read it back to them and make sure we have the right order. You want to get it in your head you're getting exactly what the customer wants," said Shoemaker.
Vince's Cheesesteaks keeps the menu simple: cheesesteaks and sausage sandwiches.
Next came the real test, making cheesesteaks. Vince makes it look easy. He makes a cheesesteak in about 10 seconds!
"A little meat on the bottom and cheese sauce," said Cocca.
It took Nikki a lot longer!
The crew at Vince's works fast, really fast! But there is a method to the madness, and everything seems to run efficiently.
"Just making sure that between the customers that we can run the smoothest operation possible," said Cocca.
