BLOOMSBURG -- It seems like every year the vendors at the Bloomsburg Fair try to outdo themselves and come up with something different.
Some say there is more unique food at the Bloomsburg Fair than average food! But there is always something that is a little over the top and this year is no exception.
There are many stands at the Bloomsburg Fair that sell the same delicious foods every year. But sometimes the vendors add new, unique goodies to their menus or new vendors come up with fresh ideas.
One of those is JB's Festie Foods. Owner Justin Baney makes more than 50 different flavors of egg rolls.
"We roll them all to order. We just keep getting creative with them and trying new things on a daily basis," said Baney.
These aren't the egg rolls you're used to. They are filled with mac and cheese, Oreos, buffalo chicken, and more.
"We do an apple cinnamon one with cinnamon topping. Another one of our most popular is our bacon cheeseburger," said Baney.
If you are in the mood for more of a snack food, you may want to check out Popcorn Fantasy. They sell 20 different flavors of popcorn.
"Banana, green apple, basic caramel, salt and vinegar, sour cream and onion," said David Rubbico, listing their top flavors.
One stand put a unique twist on a fair favorite and made a maple bacon funnel cake.
"This is homemade maple icing with fresh bacon on top of it," said Jim Ruble.
In addition to maple bacon funnel cakes, Ruble's Funnel Cakes also makes other unique varieties like Oreo and cotton candy.
But if maple is your flavor of choice, you may want to check out Loch's Maple Syrup. Owner Randy Loch put a spin on another fair favorite -- cotton candy -- and flavored it with maple.
"It's made from pure maple sugar which comes natural from the maple trees," Loch said.
Another vendor told us she made bacon flavored cotton candy earlier this week but stopped making it because people told her it tasted bad.
