CATAWISSA, Pa. — Rohrbach's Farm near Catawissa is in the midst of its fall season. Inside the market, there are all kinds of sweet treats for sale.
"Apple dumplings and pumpkin whoopie pies and donuts to fresh fruit like apples and squash and all those delicious things," Denise Bosworth said.
There are all kinds of fall activities at Rohrbach's Farm. The corn maze is especially popular this time of year, with nearly a dozen photo opportunities throughout the maze. Rohrbach's offers a large variety of pumpkins you can buy and you can also pick your own in the fields. There is also an apple slingshot, apple orchard and children's playland.
"They absolutely love it and it's so much fun because they're creating these connections," Ashley Wlodarczyk said.
The corn pit is popular with the kids. These little ones had a blast! Rohrbach's holds an event here for toddlers every Friday morning.
"It gives the young kids the opportunity to free play without older children playing a little bit harder than they would," Wlodarczyk said.
Owner Denise Bosworth says agritourism activities like this are a great way for families to spend time together.
"I think people can get really caught up in all the busyness of life and what I observe a lot here is families playing together. I don't see people on their phones," Bosworth said.
This Thursday Rohrbach's is hosting a special needs/all abilities night from 4-7pm.
"The playland is free, the corn maze is free. We have a wheelchair accessible hayride and we just want them to have a great night together and enjoy the farm here," Bosworth said.
