Former police chief faces fraud charges in Columbia County

Jeremy Talanca faces theft charges after state police say he defrauded customers at his car dealership in Berwick.

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Pa. — The owner of a car dealership in Columbia County is accused of defrauding customers.

State police say Jeremy Talanca never gave customers the proper paperwork after they bought vehicles from him at the Keystone Auto Exchange in Berwick, and several customers say they bought vehicles with major mechanical problems.

Pennsylvania State Police informed that Talanca is a police officer in Girardville and the former police chief in Sugar Notch.

Talanca faces theft by deception and related charges in Columbia County.
