MILLVILLE, Pa. — Camp Victory is a camp near Millville for kids with both chronic illnesses and all abilities. The facility hosts both weekend and week long camps throughout the years.
"Those campers will come. They'll enjoy all the camp activities and they'll also have all of their medical needs taken care of through our med shed and our other medical facilities here," Camp Victory Director of Marketing Seth Joseph said.
For the last few years Camp Victory has held a 5-K run and walk fundraiser. For the first time the event will be held in person, in and around Camp Victory's campus. Marketing Director Seth Joseph says the event was virtual in the past because of the pandemic.
"We've had great success with it being virtual. People run on their own, do it on their own time. But this year we're looking to have the 5K start and end at our welcome center. People will get to run around camp, get a little bit of a tour, see the facility, so it's a really exciting event for us," Joseph said.
There is a 5-K and also a one mile fun run which is all inclusive and wheelchair accessible. All proceeds to go Camp Victory.
"Coming up our 2025 season, that will be used to support campers being able to come here and enjoy the camp experience," Joseph said.
The Camp Victory 5K Run and Walk is Sunday, October 6th at the camp near Millville. Registration starts at 8am and the race starts at 9am. To sign up click here.
