BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — The Christmas spirit can be found all around the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. Streets are covered with festive spray-painted drawings visitors from all over the area came out and braced the cold to explore the winter wonderland.
"They have great vendors, they have a lot to choose from, they have a lot more food this year, and I highly recommend Davis Farms, they have the best sourdough bread this side of planet earth." Said Heidi Holinowsky, of Beaver Meadows.
With over 250 vendors selling food, beverages, and christmas crafts, there's a little something for everyone at Winterfest.
"Just to get out of the house and to get some gifts and to be back in Bloomsburg." Said Diane Ferster, of Loganton
"I decided probably about 10 years ago I love wearing scarves and I decided to try making them on my own, and then my son mentioned Mom why don't you try selling them so I put them on Facebook about 9 years ago and then all of a sudden it turned into a crafting business in the winter." Said Sharon Fischer, owner of Simply Scarves by Sharon.
"No, for us, I got really cute reindeer. I got some cute reindeer and a lot of different kinds of food cause the food here, the food selection's are really great," said Holinowsky
Despite the cold weather, vendors say it's already busy.
"It's starting to pick up for sure, they're coming in waves, starting a few and then they leave and then a few more come along." Said Stephanie Helsel, Owner of Soothing Suds by Steph.
"We are quite amazed at the crowd it's a wonderful crowd, there's a lot of people here so we've been very happy with the results." Said Liam McCay Owner of Liam's Luck Wood Craft
Winterfest runs until Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. Admission and parking are both free.
