BERWICK, Pa. — Before Friday night's football game, Berwick officially renamed part of Mulberry Street for legendary football coach George Curry.
The street that flanks the Bulldogs home stadium will now be known as George Curry Way.
"He would impart his wisdom and thoughts in what we should be doing, but always holding you accountable. Self-discipline and an expectation of behavior, moral and ethical behavior, and doing what you need to do to make a difference in the world," said Cosmas Curry, George Curry's son.
George Curry was twice named National High School Coach of the Year while at the helm in Berwick.
He passed away in 2016.
