Colleges and universities are rearranging schedules as officials address concerns over the spread of coronavirus.
Bucknell University announced it is moving to remote education mode.
The University of Scranton announced it will cease face-to-face instruction on Monday, March 30 and plans to resume on-campus classes on April 14.
East Stroudsburg University announced it will delay students' return from spring break until Monday, March 23.
Bloomsburg University has extended spring break for students until Monday, March 23, and canceled all university-sponsored travel.
Penn State will move to remote learning for all classes on Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3, and resume in-person classes on Monday, April 6 at the earliest.
The university announced last week that all university-sponsored travel was canceled.
Lackawanna College in Scranton plans to extend spring break to Monday, March 23.
Keystone College announced spring break is extended to Monday, March 23, with non-athletic college-sponsored travel suspended.
Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove has extended spring break with classed to resume on Monday, March 23. All university-sponsored events, including athletics, are suspended through March 22.
Lock Haven University has suspended face-to-face instruction for the week following spring break. Courses will resume by remote instruction on Monday, March 23 and continue through April 3. Face-to-face classes are expected to resume on Monday, April 6.
Marywood Unversity has canceled classes for the week of Mar 15 - 21 with face-to-face classes resuming on Monday, March, 23.
King's College in Wilkes-Barre announced in-person classes are suspended as of Wednesday, March 11. Classes will resume through distance education on Thursday, March 19, and will continue to operate this way through at least Easter break, which ends on Monday, April 13.
Misericordia University in Dallas decided to transition to online and remote instructional learning beginning Wednesday, March 18. The university will continue to function and remain open in a modified capacity. Campus events will be postponed or canceled until April 14 or after. The University will utilize Monday and Tuesday, March 15 and 16 as a mini-break before beginning online instruction of students.
Johnson College in Scranton is extending spring break. Classes are planned to resume Monday, March 23.
Wilkes University announced it is transitioning classes to online learning formats beginning Monday, March 16. All classes will be underway remotely by Monday, March 23, and will continue through Friday, April 3.
Luzerne County Community College is "modifying the delivery of face-to-face instruction as of Thursday, March 12, at 9:00 pm. Please do not report to your regularly scheduled face-to-face classes beginning Friday, March 13."
Modified classes will resume in an alternative format on Thursday, March 19.
This includes its main campus. Its centers in Berwick, Hazleton, Pittston, Scranton, Shamokin, Wilkes-Barre, and Watsontown will remain open providing access for our students to all College services.
