SOUTH RENOVO -- A man accused of shooting and killing his son-in-law during a fight more than seven months ago will not face charges.
That deadly shooting happened in Clinton County in October, 2012.
According to police, Gene Pizzino shot and killed his son-in-law Robert Bittner at his home along Clinton Avenue in South Renovo.
According to investigators, Pizzino opened fire at the home to stop his son in law from choking his daughter. The Clinton County district attorney says it happened after the couple had been fighting for two days.
The D.A. ruled Monday that the killing was justified and no charges will be filed against Gene Pizzino for the shooting.
