Man pleads guilty to Clinton County shooting death

Jakob Haines died from a gunshot wound at a home near Lock Haven in 2021.

CLINTON COUNTY, Pa. — A man has admitted to his role in a death in Clinton County.

Brian St. John pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault on Tuesday.

Investigators say St. John shot and killed Jakob Haines at a Woodward Township home near Lock Haven in 2021.

St. John claimed at the time that he was messing around with a gun when it went off. He is due back in court next month.
