CLINTON COUNTY -- An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday on the body of a woman found Saturday afternoon in Halls Run near Renovo.
State police have now charged William Snyder of Renovo in connection with the disappearance of his wife, Kelley, on Easter Sunday.
Snyder is locked up in Clinton County on charges of tampering with evidence and abuse of corpse. Bail is set at $500,000.
"When something like this comes on, everyone comes together, no matter what," said Sean Barr of Renovo.
William Snyder was arrested Friday at a hotel in upstate New York in connection with the case.
Snyder spoke with Newswatch 16 on Tuesday, as emergency workers and volunteers searched for his wife, Kelley Jo Snyder. She went missing Easter Sunday from their home in Renovo.
Snyder said, "We just hope if she is out there and can see this or someone sees this and has any info to get a hold of us."
In court papers, troopers say William Snyder admitted to sending a ransom note for $60,000 to his own address in the days after her disappearance. He also sent a ransom email before police arrested him.
Greg Lacadaugh owns a restaurant just a few blocks away from the Snyder home.
"He left town under the situation. So, who is to say what really is happening," said Greg Lacadaugh, owner of Yesterday's Restaurant and Hotel.
Others who live on the same street as the Snyders say there has to be more to the story and don't believe Snyder had anything to do with his wife going missing.
"I think they are wrong. I don't think it was him, so I think they need to do a little more investigating other than pinning on the husband," said Faith Marr, a neighbor.
The Clinton County coroner hopes Sunday's autopsy on the body found Saturday will allow him to identify the remains as well as determine a cause of death.
