CARBON COUNTY, Pa. — A woman faces involuntary manslaughter and other charges after the death of her baby in Carbon County.
Investigators say Jessyca Smale's three-month-old was found unresponsive after she smoked marijuana and napped with him on the couch in her Summit Hill home back in September of 2023.
The coroner ruled the baby's death a homicide.
According to Saint Luke's, the three-month-old was born with marijuana in his system.
Smale faces involuntary manslaughter, child endangerment, and drug charges after that baby's death in Carbon County.
