Weatherly man charged after allegedly setting fire during burn ban

WEATHERLY, Pa. — A man faces a slew of charges after a fire in Carbon County.

Police say Ian Keating, 42, burned furniture and left the fire unattended outside his home along East Main Street in Weatherly on Saturday while the county was under a red flag burn ban.

Investigators say Keating put surrounding homes in danger.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire.

Keating faces several charges, including arson endangering property, risking a catastrophe, reckless burning, disorderly conduct, and dangerous burning.
