WEATHERLY -- A 115-year-old piece of history in Carbon County may be saved after all.
Weatherly borough council voted Monday night to buy back the Mrs. C.M. Schwab School building with the stipulation that a group will raise money to purchase the property.
A bank in Texas currently owns the building.
The school was built as a gift from Charles Schwab, the first president of Bethlehem Steel, to honor his wife who was a Weatherly native.
The mayor says a committee will decide the best ways to raise money to buy back the historic school in Carbon County.
