CARBON COUNTY, Pa. — Residents voiced concerns about proposed truck terminals in one Carbon County community.
Plans are in the works to place four truck terminals along Route 940 in Kidder Township.
The terminals would all be within a two-mile stretch.
Members of the grassroots organization LOVE Kidder Township told the planning commission they're concerned about the environmental effects of having so many terminals so close together.
"And we're just saying that why continue to create harm and danger when you see it illustrated in other areas? What's the sensibility related to that," said Beth Hurley, LOVE Kidder Township organizer.
At Wednesday night's meeting, the Kidder Township Planning Commission decided to table the terminal issue.
