LEHIGHTON, Pa. — UPDATE:
Newswatch 16 has learned that Francis Moyer will face charges following Thursday's threats.
Lehighton Police Chief Troy Abelovsky said in a statement that Francis Moyer was arrested on Tuesday on charges not "directly related" to the homicide case, and that the threats were made while Moyer was in custody on those charges.
Original Story:
Police in Carbon County responded to a bomb threat Thursday afternoon that led them to the same double block home where a homicide suspect was arrested earlier this week.
Lehighton Police received a threat against public buildings in the borough.
Officers say the threat claimed there were explosive devices inside 243 Carbon Street.
The State Police Bomb Unit responded, and police say a device was found and removed from the property.
On Monday, police arrested Zak Moyer, who lives in the other half of that double block home for allegedly killing Edward Whitehead.
According to court documents, Moyer got into a fight with the victim, who also lives in the neighborhood, and attacked him with a knife and a small chainsaw.
Moyer's father, Francis Moyer, was arrested Tuesday after police say he was harassing the victim's family.
Police in Lehighton have not said who is responsible for the bomb threats, only that terroristic threats charges are pending after the investigation in Carbon County.
