Woman pleads guilty in Bradford County homicide

Summer Heil of Harrisburg pleaded guilty on Thursday in connection with the death of Michael Pruitt in March.

BRADFORD COUNTY, Pa. — A woman from Harrisburg pleaded guilty in connection with a Bradford County homicide back in March

Summer Heil, 37, pleaded guilty on Thursday to the involvement in dismembering the body of Michael Pruitt and assisting the other two suspects, Ronda and Terry Parker, in the burning and disposal of the victim's body to cover up the crime.

"During the plea proceeding, Heil acknowledged that she did not play any role in the killing of Michael Pruitt, which is consistent with all of the evidence set forth in hearings previously," noted District Attorney Richard Wilson.

Heil mentioned she saw two revolvers at Terry Parker's apartment in Harrisburg shortly before the murder. A preliminary hearing suggested that Pruitt was killed with antique revolvers that were found in Parker's apartment.

Heil will be sentenced in December. She is currently held in Bradford County Prison.
