BRADFORD COUNTY, Pa. — The Route 6 bridge over Sugar Creek in Troy Township reopened to traffic on Tuesday. PennDOT says lane restrictions will remain for the rest of the week while the repairs are finished.
Construction crews have been fixing the bridge after an oversized load struck it in June.
Crews say they are working on heat straightening and reinstalling damaged beams from the crash.
Along with heat straightening, crews have been working on other parts of the bridge.
Work on the bridge also impacted the Troy Fair. PennDOT worked closely with the Bradford County emergency management agency, fair officials, and area municipalities to prepare for heavy fair traffic and a detour was put in place.
