Jury convicts Bradford County man of child rape charges

The 40-year-old Troy man will be sentenced next month, he was charged with assaulting two children in 2022 and 2023.

BRADFORD COUNTY, Pa. — This week, a Bradford County jury found 40-year-old Chase Ripley guilty of sexually assaulting two children. 

Police say Ripley assaulted the children in 2022 and 2023 in Troy. 

He was found guilty of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child- a felony, Statutory Sexual Assault- a felony, and two counts of Indecent Assault of a Child- a misdemeanor. 

Ripley will be sentenced next month and faces at least 10 years in prison, after which he must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. 

Officials say Ripley was previously charged in Montana in 2017, where he was alleged to have assaulted a woman while he was a CPS worker who had control over the placement and visitation of the woman's children.  He pleaded guilty to Official Misconduct and Negligent Endangerment in this case.
