DORRANCE TOWNSHIP- A police officer in Luzerne county is recovering after being hit by a car Friday night.
State police say, an officer from Butler Township police department was assisting in an arrest on an assault suspect from Freeland in the Mountain Top area when he was hit.
Investigators say Pragnesh Pathak of Mountain Top was driving the car, and he is facing charges.
