WILKES-BARRE -- Police in Wilkes-Barre and the Luzerne County District Attorney are investigating the homicide of a 2-month-old baby in the city.
City detectives said an ambulance responded to 351 North Washington Street for a report that a baby boy had stopped breathing. The infant was then taken to a local hospital and received medical treatment but was pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to a search warrant that 2-month-old baby killed in Wilkes-Barre over the weekend had many bruises on his body and died from his injuries.
The search warrant identifies the young victim as Antonio Evans. His death is called a homicide.
Neighbors tell us they have seen Children and Youth Services remove other children from the home in Wilkes-Barre.
