WILKES-BARRE — The Coal Street complex in Wilkes-Barre will soon be known by a new name: the Toyota SportsPlex.
Mayor Tom Leighton and others made the announcement Wednesday afternoon at the ice rink.
Under the deal, the city will get $55,000 a year for the next five years.
Officials say money will be used to pay off construction of the complex.
In addition to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the city says more than 300,000 people use the Coal Street complex every year.
