WILLIAMSPORT — Because of tighter budgets, many school districts are coming up with creative ways to raise funds.
The Williamsport Area School District is no exception.
The school announced a deal Tuesday to sell the naming rights of its sports facility.
What is now called Millionaire Stadium will soon be STA Stadium.
Student Transportation of America Incorporated has agreed to pay the district $500,000 to secure the naming rights of the stadium for 15 years.
School district officials said this move is part of a larger effort to upgrade the athletic facilities in Williamsport.
