SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP — A man from Bradford County is in jail after police say he hit a Pennsylvania Game Commission vehicle with officers inside.
Timothy Mott of Columbia Crossroads has been charged with assault after police say he crashed into the vehicle and led police on a chase.
Investigators say Mott was spotlighting deer along Sawyer Road south of Gillett Saturday morning.
Authorities later spotted Mott on Checkerville Road. That’s when officers say Mott ran into the vehicle, injuring two wildlife conservation officers.
Mott was also taken to the hospital.
Officials say three loaded rifles and a spotlight were found in his car. Mott faces a hearing next week in Bradford County.
