A foot doctor in Lackawanna County is accused of assaulting his girlfriend.
Police said Dr. Elmo Baldassari of Dunmore threw a purse at the woman Friday night at his home on September Drive, severely injuring the woman’s lip.
According to court papers, Baldassari drove the woman to the hospital and then police arrested him at his home.
