CLARKS SUMMIT -- A traveling PennDOT memorial is drawing attention to the men and women who have been killed in work zones.
Nearly 85 crosses topped with hard hats and draped in safety vests have been set up at a PennDOT office on the Morgan Highway in Clarks Summit.
The crosses have the names of PennDOT workers who have died on the job since 1970.
PennDOT said the worker memorial highlights the dangers faced by road crews, and serves as a reminder for drivers to slow down.
