UPPER MERION TOWNSHIP -- A baby has been found safe after being kidnapped from the King of Prussia Mall.
A suspect is reportedly in police custody and charges are pending.
Police were searching for a woman accused of kidnapping the 7-week-old baby boy.
Officers responded to the food court area of the mall around 5:35 p.m. Thursday for a report of an abduction.
In a press conference Thursday night, Upper Merion Township police identified the infant boy as Ahsir Simmons. Shortly after the press conference, an Amber Alert was issued.
Police say the suspect befriended the family of the boy and spent about 30 minutes with them in the mall's food court before exiting the mall with the child.
