ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police arrested a man who was allegedly imitating police.
According to PSP, Johnny Jackson, 55, from Berwick, was pulled over on Nov. 24 at 5:19 p.m. for a traffic stop. He was allegedly traveling 94 MPH in a 65 MPH zone.
As Jackson pulled over, troopers reported that the license plate was covered in a substance that made it unreadable.
While speaking with Jackson, auxiliary light switches were observed inside the car. When he flipped them on, it was discovered that they activated red and blue lights in the front and back of the car.
There was also a pick axe-style weapon in plain view, according to troopers. Jackson is a convicted felon.
His car was seized and a search warrant was applied for and granted. During a search of Jackon's car, a loaded 9mm handgun with no serial number, commonly referred to as a "ghost gun" was located in the locked center console.
Additionally, troopers discovered a handcuff key and an NYPD hat inside the car.
Jackson was taken to Adams County Prison where he was charged with possession of a prohibited firearm, firearm not to be carried without a license, impersonating a public service, making repairs or selling offensive weapons, improper use of emergency lights and exceeding the max speed limit.
