MOSCOW, Idaho — We now know when the trial of the man accused of killing four University of Idaho students is scheduled to take place.
In a scheduling order filed on Wednesday, Bryan Kohberger's trial is scheduled to start on August 11, 2025 and will run through November 7, 2025, including the penalty phase, if necessary.
Jury selection is scheduled to start on July 30, 2025.
The scheduling order said trial proceedings will begin each day at 7:30 a.m. PST and will conclude at around 2:30 p.m. PST. The scheduling order also said the parties should be aware that some weeks of the trial may need to be shortened depending on the obligations of the court.
A final pre-trial conference is set for May 15, 2025, and will continue through May 16, 2025, if needed.
A hearing is still scheduled on November 7, 2024, for arguments on the motion challenging the death penalty.
Kohberger is accused of killing Madison Mogen, Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle and Kaylee Goncalves in November 2022.
