COVID-19 update: more than 5,000 additional positive cases

The Department of Health notes 35 new deaths related to the coronavirus.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — The Pennsylvania Department of Health now lists 5,048 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 1,064,092 on Friday, April 9.

There were 35 new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry, for a total of 25,362 deaths attributed to COVID-19, according to the department.
