TOBYHANNA, Pa. — Inside a hangar at the Pocono Mountains Regional Airport in Monroe County, you'll find Hi-Tech Helicopters, a place where you can go up in the air with a guide or learn to fly yourself.
"We do everything from the ground training for students to the flight training. We also do fly tours as well, so Pocono Raceway and Delaware Water Gap tend to be pretty common. And then we also will do aerial photography," said flight instructor Paolo Gianzanti.
"We do a lot of egg drops, golf drops, rose drops for all different occasions, gender reveals; it's really cool," said Mackenzie Seitz, who got her private helicopter pilot license here and is now an instructor in training.
"I actually started with a tour maybe a year and a half ago. And the instructor asked me, 'Would you like to start?' And we started the next day."
"A lot of people don't realize that you could just take an intro flight. You don't need any previous experience, and you can see if it's for you. Nine times out of ten, people want to continue," Gianzanti said.
"I love everything about helicopters," Seitz said. "I love that it's all I think about. It's all I want to do. And I can't wait for everybody else to try it and experience it."
Newswatch 16 got an aerial tour of Great Wolf Lodge, the Crossings Premium Outlets, Camelback Resort, and Lake Harmony.
