LAKE ARIEL, Pa. — Paxton is the perfect mix of playful and energetic and sweet and cuddly. Everyone who knows him adores him, and we quickly found out why.
Paxton is currently being fostered at Paw Pack Doggy Daycare near Lake Ariel. Workers there were already familiar with him and immediately agreed to foster him when he needed a new home.
"Oh, my God, his play bows, his head tilt, his marble eyes; he's got beautiful eyes. He's just a happy dog," said Marie Sinisgalli of Paw Pack Doggy Daycare.
Paxton came to live at Paw Pack Doggy Daycare in the fall after his previous owner had a change in circumstances and could no longer care for him. He is a 2-year-old pit, lab, pointer mix.
"No kids or older kids because he gets very excitable. He can be a bit mouthy at times. We're just trying to make sure he's got all the attention because he deserves it. It's been a while since it's been all about him, we want that for him," said Sinisgalli.
Paxton gets along with most other dogs, but because his foster family wants to see him getting all of the attention, they would prefer he be the only pet in the home.
"An active family would be nice, too. Someone who likes to go on the occasional hike, if they have places to go, he's very sociable, so something like that would be ideal for him," Sinisgalli said.
His foster family says Paxton is the most popular guy at Tractor Supply and Shaffer's Hardware. He loves going for car rides and running errands with his people.
"We love him so much because he's just such a sweet dog. He's small, he weighs 55 pounds. He's very compact. He fits in your lap. He'll fit on the couch next to you. He literally just wants to be next to you and it's so sweet," said Sinisgalli.
Paxton's adoption fee is covered, and he comes with a free six-week basic obedience training at Paw Pack Doggy Daycare.
