16 To The Rescue: Twinkle

In this week's 16 To The Rescue, we meet a four-month-old kitten who is looking for her forever home now that all of her siblings have found theirs.

MOUNTAIN TOP, Pa. — In this week's 16 To The Rescue, we meet a 4-month-old kitten named Twinkle.

"The way she snuggles, she's a snuggle bug, and she purrs and purrs and purrs," said Twinkle's foster mom, Donna Bohn, naming all of her favorite things about Twinkle.

Twinkle has been living at her foster home in Mountain Top since she was about eight weeks old. Now, she is four months old, so her foster mom has gotten to know her.

"She's a spunky little girl. She's got lots of energy. But she's also a love bug, loves to cuddle, loves to play," Bohn said.

Twinkle is being fostered through the Northeast PA Pet Fund and Rescue. Rescue workers picked her to feature on this week's 16 To The Rescue because she doesn't have some crazy back story and might not necessarily stand out to adopters. Twinkle was never out on the street. She was just part of an unexpected litter.

"The person who had them couldn't take care of the all of these kittens, so the mother was spayed by our rescue, and the kittens were brought into our rescue to try to find a home for them," said Bohn.

Cosmo, one of Twinkle's brothers, just got adopted and goes home next week, so the two are spending their last days together. Twinkle's other two siblings got adopted last week.

"Oh, she loves to play with her siblings, and now that the rest of them are adopted, she's going to be lonely, so I'm hoping she can get into a home quickly," said Bohn.

That's why rescue workers hope Twinkle's new and forever family sees this. Since she is so easygoing, Twinkle can go to a home with kids, other cats, and probably dogs.

"So she can grow into whatever home she goes to. She's very young, so she would be adaptive to any type of home," Bohn said.
