Oliver with NEPA Pet Fund and Rescue | 16 To The Rescue

In this week's 16 To The Rescue we meet a 1-year-old cat rescued from a hoarding situation a few months ago.

MOUNTAIN TOP, Pa. — Oliver needs a loving family and a feline friend to keep him company.

"He's such a sweet boy. He's beautiful; he's got beautiful markings. He's just a friendly, outgoing personality, loves to play," said Donna Bohn, Oliver's foster mom. She calls him Ollie.

Ollie was rescued from a hoarding situation in the spring and has been fostered through NEPA Pet Fund and Rescue ever since. He is a little over 1 year old. When he was found as a kitten, he had a respiratory infection and an eye infection, but he fully recovered after treatments.

After getting very comfortable in his foster home in Mountain Top, Ollie is ready for his forever home.

"He is a snuggle bug. He's always by your feet. He's a little bit of a tripping hazard in that respect—always by your feet, rubbing on your legs," Bohn said.

Ollie does not need any medications but does have some scarring on his eyes from his infection. Rescue workers say his vision is not affected, but his eyes are a little cloudy.

Because he has never been alone, Ollie will need some company in his forever home.

"One thing about Oliver is he has to go to a home who has another cat, at least another cat. He gets very upset when he doesn't have any feline friends. When his siblings got adopted and he was left, he just carried on for days," said Bohn.

Other than that, Ollie does well with meeting new people and is pretty unbothered by everything.

"He can get a little rambunctious when he plays, so I probably wouldn't recommend small children, but older children would be fine," Bohn said.
