CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. — Maximum Zen Bakery in Clarks Summit brings dining, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free to new heights. Donna Fitzgerald Vannan creates superior dishes and baked goods with the utmost fresh ingredients utilizing foods from local sources. 

Chef Donna Prepared her popular Mushroom Danish utilizing fresh oyster mushrooms prepared in Marsala cream sauce baked in a puff pastry.

Maximum Zen offers an array of fresh baked gluten free pastries, cakes and muffins.  They also prepare soups, sandwiches and wraps to dine in or take out. 

Maximum Zen is one of the participating restaurants in the 2024 Great Chefs Event for the Women's Resource Center. This cherished tradition serves as a fundraiser for the Women’s Resource Center, marking its remarkable 34th year. The event is Thursday, May 2nd at 5:30 pm at the Scranton Cultural Center. The evening that promises a culinary journey like no other, showcasing high-end appetizer samplings from renowned area restaurants. As guests indulge in delectable bites, they’ll be surrounded by the elegant ambiance inspired by the iconic Tiffany blue color, adding a touch of sophistication to the affair.
