WATSONTOWN, Pa. — Decorating with real greens and dried fruit is a classic alternative to life-like wreaths and garland. Colleen Musgrave of Blooming Meadows Farm demonstrates how to craft a beautiful wreath made with pine, dried oranges and cinnamon sticks that looks great and is super fragrant.
Colleen utilized oranges and dried them in two designs. She used several of them whole, scoring some around from top to bottom. She also sliced additional oranges into rounds. She dried all of the oranges in advance. Colleen crafted a wreath with fresh pine branches, around a wire frame. Using craft wire, she attached the oranges around the wreath alternating the whole and sliced fruit. Cinnamon sticks and faux berry bunches were wired and added to the piece.
