It’s National S’mores Day! This special food holiday is celebrated each year on August 10.
The first printed s’mores recipe appeared in 1927 (then called “some mores”) in a Girl Scout handbook according to Hershey’s “History of the S’more” website.
S’mores traditionally consist of a graham cracker sandwich with chocolate and a fire-toasted marshmallow filling. Today, “s’mores” is used to describe a variety of desserts and drinks with chocolate, marshmallow and graham cracker flavor.
