Brick Oven Pizza by Maiolatesi Wine Cellars

Harvest, Sausage and Margherita Pizzas

SCOTT, Pa. — We visited Maiolatesi Wine Cellars in Scott for a taste of wine, a bite to eat and a spectacular view. Sal is very proud of his wines, over 30 varieties in all, ranging from fruit sweetened wines to his delicately crafted dry wines.  Along with wine tasting, visitors can enjoy small plates and freshly prepared pizzas made in their brick oven. The pizzas are done in the Neapolitan style with a crispy crust. First, the chef created a delicious sausage pizza, followed by the Harvest pizza which is their seasonal dish with butternut squash, spinach and ricotta, mozzarella cheese, and roasted cherry tomatoes and finally the classic Margherita pizza.

Susquehanna Brewing Co. has opened a Taproom downstairs serving beer on tap, beer flights, and the same shareable food menu by the winery. They also have outdoor patio seating with the same beautiful views, including Adirondack chairs in the adjacent lawn,  all for you to sit back, relax with a beverage.

The property also includes The Ridge at Maiolatesi which is a full-service wedding venue hosted entirely by Larry Nicholas and the team at Constantino’s Catering.
