WILKES-BARRE -- When it comes to sugary cereals, you have your pick in the cereal aisle. Now you can add one more option to the list. Peanut Butter Toast Crunch from General Mills is a new twist on the well known Cinnamon Toast Crunch - one of my personal favorites.
We took the new cereal to the Y.M.C.A. in Wilkes-Barre to test it out!
I don't think I've met a kid yet who doesn't like Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
That sweet cereal with a sugary cinnamon coating is pretty hard to resist.
So, the Wilkes-Barre Y.M.C.A. provided us with a crew of sweet-toothed kids to try the newest offering from General Mills: Peanut Butter Toast Crunch.
Tanner Zondlo agreed with the peanut butter taste.
Needless to say, our testers gobbled up the peanut butter toast crunch, and everyone liked it!
Haley Zondlo said: "It was soft and crunchy a little bit. And it was delicious. With a lot of milk in it! I thought it was crunchy and delicious."
For the parents out there, here's what's on the nutrition label:
A serving is three quarters of a cup of cereal. Each serving, not including milk, is 120 calories, three grams of fat, and eight grams of sugar.
"It was very crunchy," said Shawn Wandel
About the taste, Wandel said: "It was Peanut Butter. Toast Crunch!."
While the kids liked the crunchy texture like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, you need to eat it quickly!
Tester Hayden didn't finish his sample because it got mushy.
Even our grown-up tester liked it!
Swim instructor Rachael George said: "It was amazing. I'm thinking about hiding it from my kids."
We found Peanut Butter Toast Crunch at Wal-Mart for $2.50 a box.
