Bridge to the past On the Pennsylvania Road

The Dingmans Bridge over the Delaware River is one of the only privately-owned toll bridges in the country, an escape from our E-ZPass world.

PIKE COUNTY, Pa. — Toll bridges in Pennsylvania have changed quite a bit over the past few years. 

Most of them no longer have toll-takers, but there is one bridge that crosses the Delaware River in the Poconos that still runs the same way it did more than a century ago.
